John Barrowman as Captain America?

This is some interesting news, the new captain america film potentially played by none other than John Barrowman.  His roll in Torchwood, minus the romance, have given him the perfect CV with action, emotion, and loneliness in combat.  This could be one of those casting longshots that turn out perfect.

Wolverine Poster!

Well, first poster for the new Wolverine film, and well, im not overly excited due to the poster to be honest.  It has a very computer game look to it, and I was hoping for something less bright.  The adamantium rips just don't look real either.

Live-Action 'Cowboy Bebop'

I'm close to tears at the moment, one of my all-time favourite animde series is being made into a live-action hollywood film, is nothing sacred in this world?  Cowboy bebop was basically a futuristic story about a group of bounty hunters travelling on their ship Bebop.  It was an awesome mix of genres in both story and accompanying soundtrack (which I listen to in my car on long journeys).

Please oh please be careful, and please, for the love of god, don't cast Shia in any role in this film.  Give us unknowns, or if not, at least none of the hollywood pretties, these characters were attractive in their contrasting physiques, and that none we're perfect.

Fingers crossed

Trailer: Caprica

This is the new trailer for 'Caprica' the Battlestar Galacticac spinoff series including the character of Adama's lawyer father.  Not sure what I think, or what really is going on, but it looks good.  It looks like the first skin-job style cylon/clone, although this could be completely off base.
I am really interested to find out more.

Japanese Dragonball Poster Online

I think this may be the first picture for this film i've seen that doesn't make me want to cut out my eyes and cry through the bleeding soulless sockets. Fingers crossed.

Enough LaBeouf

Respect where respect is due guys.  I am still unsure whether he is a crap actor, I have just not liked any of the roles he's done, and find it hard to truly enjoy any of his films (although Constantine was good, there were several issues with that film, and on a plus, LeBeouf died in it).

'Watchmen' Trailer's Spielberg-Homaging Easter Egg - Cinematical

Upon watching the awesome watchmen trailer, I have sinse come across this humouress point on how one of the guns was replaced by a walkie talkie to poke fun at the ET 'improvements' a few years ago.  Quite funny if you ask me!

Trailer: Watchmen

Damn, whether you liked 300 or not, you have to accept the Zack Snyder can choose some awesome soundtracks for his trailers.  Let's just hope he actually uses it in the film, as that was a major low for me.  This film looks awesome, I loved the novel (as do many others).  And am really excited, this could be a good fight with terminator next year!

Teaser: Terminator Salvation

It was all looking to be just another teaser, an action film, with some scifi, i'd watch it, but wish it was an arnie film.  Then, the poor reception nose becomes the drum-beat, my ears prick-up as we all know this means something kickass is about to happen, then, at the end, Bale with the robot coming up behind.  Now, this trailer gets me excited, although i'm not sure which more, the terminator part, the potential this film has to be interesting, or that one scene, which imho was ripped from Aliens (where the girl has the alien come up from behind in the sewer).  Either way, I am excited, and will love everyone minute I am waiting for this film, going over what could happen.  Will it live up to it all, who knows.  But connor, bring it on.

Trailer: The Spirit

Really weird trailer, i'm not sure what to think really, on it's plus side, it doesn't look like a sin city rehash in terms of style, there are various extra elements, and it looks seperate in many ways.  But I don't think I am excited at all, just bizarrely intrigued by it all.  A hero, his nemesis, and lots of girls.... okay, why not!

Go watch it

Dr Horrible: Act Two

Hilarious when it comes to the test results, and his blog viewers.  Poor Dr Horrible, I do hope he gets the girl by the end.  Oh, and what an end, slowly going a bit more rock as Horrible gets p***ed, I think Nathan Fillian is awesome, but captain hammer, goddamn that bastard.

The tumbler - as an autobot

Wow, this looks pretty damned cool.  It's Batmans tumbler from the new films, as if it were an autobot.  Man, I want me one of these!  It may even beat starscream to this mans heart.

Trailer: Max Payne

I have been keeping an eye on this for a while now, it is a new computer game based film, it stars Mark Wahlberg as a former NYC detective, who is a little upset when his family get murdered.  Upon hearing the news at first I had some serious reservations, the games was great to look at with it's bullet-time and styling, but would this just look like another matrix rip in it's effects.  Also the name, it sounds like when Homer changed his name to 'Max Power'.

BUT, this trailer really looks awesome, it was looking good throughout, the dark style, and Wahlberg kicking ass, we get glimpses of the bullet-time, which look okay, but the big scene for me is at 1:18, that is a major WTF.  I never completed the game, so not sure where that comes into the story, but so sweet.

Trailer: Mutant Chronicles

Okay, this looks bad, but to be honest, sometimes I do like a good-bad apocalyptic action film.  Take for example most of Rutger Hauers career (minus Blade Runner, which was awesome).  They weren't great, but good enough to have on whilst working on the laptop.  Also, Thomas Jane and Ron Perlman are on it, two great actors that need our support.

Trailer: The Day the Earth Stood Still

Go checkoutthe new trailer for 'the Day the Earth Stood Still'.  The trailer looks interesting, and whilst I accept the Keanu Reeves is a very wooden actor, it's amazing how few amount of films I have seen him in the have been absolutely aweful.  This is a remake, of which I have not seen the original, so coming from an open mind, although I get the feeling this may have b****rdized the originally with a LOT of CGI effects.  But fingers crossed, first impressions, I may like this film, I like the way we get to a point where the only way to save the earth is our extermination, very real in todays issues.

Poster: Dark Knight

A really nice new dark knight poster.  I really this style, as a lot of the pieces in the cinema, whilst nice, have been very shiney, and not in keeping with a lot of the viral marketing, whereas I am hoping to see this one when I visit the cinema tonight, fingers crossed!

Obituary: Don S. Davis (1942-2008)

This is very sad news, particular for all those that enjoyed Stargate SG1 and the father figure of General Hammond.  He brought a stern but warm leadership to the show, and helped bolster it all into the real world.

The below message is from his representatives and wife:
Dear Fans and Friends of Don S. Davis,

So many of you have been touched by not only the work and art of Don S. Davis, but by the man himself, who always took the time to be with you at the appearances he loved, that it is with a tremendous sense of loss I must share with you that Don passed away from a massive heart attack on Sunday morning, June 29th.

On behalf of his family and wife, Ruby, we thank you for your prayers and condolences. A family memorial where Don's ashes will be scattered in the ocean will take place in a few weeks, and should you wish to, please make a donation to the American Heart Association in Don's memory.
